Time to build back better our cities and regions, but how?

A year ago this week, the European Commission presented its proposal for a major Recovery Plan. As we wait for the plan to start bearing its fruits, progressive cities and regions are ready to play a key role in its implementation, as to build back better we must start locally. On #EuropeDay and everyday, our message is loud and clear: the future of Europe is in our hands 🙌

This and more is keeping us busy at the PES Group. So what happened and what lies ahead? Take a moment to scroll through our newsletter!

#ProgressiveLocalStories

❤️ We love sharing what progressive cities and regions do, as they can inspire many others with their stories. This month, we bring you the example of Laura Sparavigna, City councillor of Florence, who made her city the first in Italy to abolish the #TamponTax! Do you have similar stories to share on how to fight period poverty? Let us know!

What’s coming next?

🌍 European funding is key to make the green transition happen!

Progressive cities are front-runners in shaping the ecological transition with the help of EU funding through innovative projects, while at the same time advocating that social change must not be forgotten in this transition. 🌈 Progressive cities and regions under the rainbow

On #IDAHOT day, many progressive local and regional leaders raised the 🏳️‍🌈 flag to show that discrimination does not have a place in their city and region, and that they are ready to pave the way to a Union of Equality! Stay tuned for more happening under the rainbow soon!
