📢 Join our #ProgressivesSpeakUp School of young local and regional politicians | Valencia, 2-3 March 2023

👋 Hello

This is a the fourth edition of our “#ProgressivesSpeakUp: School of young local and regional politicians”, a training for young local and regional elected leaders.

It will take place on 2-3 March 2023 in Valencia, Spain, a region led by our member Ximo Puig I Ferrer.

👭🏻 This year’s School will focus on a key priority of European progressives: ensuring gender equality and ending violence against women. Find out more here

Progressive locally and regionally elected politicians can and do make a difference when it comes to designing and implementing effective gender equality measures, thus contributing to a feminist vision of the European Union that safeguards achievements so far and pushes for faster progress in gender equality. They have also a key role to play in the fight against gender-based violence as many of their decisions have a direct gender impact.

The 2023 School aims at looking at different shades of gender inequality and violence against women during a participatory lab taking place in the afternoon of Thursday 2 March and in the morning of Friday 3 March.

The sessions will give you the knowledge to improve legislations and start actions at the local and regional level, and offer the space to share good practices to shape a #EuropeForWomen, starting from the ground.

🇪🇸 Check out the draft agenda here

The two-day programme will include a participatory lab, a study visit, the PES Group public event and, the cherry on the cake, social events to network among young and senior progressive politicians.

Are you engaged in making your municipality or region more equal and safe for women? Then apply to become one of the 25 young local leaders that we will select and financially cover to attend the event.

Applications are open until Wednesday 1 February (23:59 CET).
