👋 Hello!
We are proud of hosting the fifth edition of our “#ProgressivesSpeakUp: School of young local politicians”, a training for young local and regional elected leaders. It will take place on Thursday 4 - Friday 5 April 2024 in Portimão, Portugal.
🏠 This year’s School will focus on an important priority of European progressives: our fight to provide a decent and affordable housing for all.
The sessions will give you the knowledge to improve legislations and start actions at the local and regional level, and offer the space to share good practices to shape a #HousingForAll strategy.

The two-day programme will include exchange of views, networking opportunities and a PES Group public event.
Applications are open until Monday 5 February (noon, CET).
Important to know
- EU nationality is mandatory
- Participants must be elected at the local or regional level, or be an official candidate for the next local or regional elections (or EU elections).
- The age limit of the participants is 35
- Participants are expected to commit to attend all sessions of the programme, from the afternoon of Thursday 4 to Friday 5 April
- Proficiency in English is required
- The PES Group will select and cover the participation costs of 15 participants
