On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia #IDAHOT, let's stand up together for LGBTIQ rights!
How can you contribute?
Together with Rainbow Rose, we are giving a new push to our joint #LoveWhereILive campaign to protect and promote LGBTIQ rights, which we successfully launched two years ago!
🌈 Declare your city or region an LGBTIQ Freedom Zone
As many progressive regions and cities did over the last two years, following the resolution of the European Parliament declaring the EU an LGBTIQ Freedom Zone, we invite you all to adopt a similar resolution in your local or regional council. Let's show that we are leading this fight in the EU!
If your city, municipality or region wants to adopt the resolution, please also let us know at pes-goup@cor.europa.eu so that we can spread the news across the EU!
PES Group member and President of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, has a message for you to share why your support in this fight is so important.

Upload a picture of you in front of your city hall/symbol with a rainbow flag and/or hold a sign, or both. Make sure that the name of the city is visible.
- Template message: “My city is a LGBTIQ freedom zone” or “I want my city to be an #LGBTIQFreedomZone”. The sign can be written in English or your native language.
- Hashtags: #LGBTIQFreedomZone #LoveWhereILive
- Accounts to tag: @PES_CoR @RainbowRose_PES @PES_PSE
